Here, I investigated how exposure to artificial grammar during the acquisition phase impacts the success of learning this grammar. Letter sequences were presented to participants for short/long periods of time in grammatical or nongrammatical combinations. Results showed that exposure to grammatical sequences in the acquisition phase can guide grammaticality judgements in the testing phase.
